Kill the Meeting

So, people (by which I mean [livejournal.com profile] kimatha) seemed receptive to the idea of me starting a blog on the topic of what's wrong with the standard American corporate office environment, and on alternative working arrangements to increase both productivity and happiness.

So I did.

I'll be updating every Monday at a minimum, more often as the whim strikes me.

The blog broke when I tried to comment there, so I'll comment here.

Quick change battery packs, and a support infrastructure for them might solve the problem of long distance travel for electric cars. You drive, you get low on juice, you pull into a "gas" station, and they swap your dead battery pack for a live one, charge you a fee for the electricity and amortization cost on the battery pack, and you're on your way. You'd need to standardize the interface for a wide range of vehicles, (like how AA is a standard, only much much bigger) and get the swap time down to something comparable with a regular gasoline fuel stop.
