That was the biggest hail I have ever seen in my life.  The hailstones were at least 1/2", and many looked bigger than that... they sounded like rocks hitting the roof, and they shattered on impact rather than just melting.

I thought I was supposed to see the hail back in Indiana, not out here.  Still, seeing a thunderstorm is pretty cool... now that I'm in a place largely without them, I find I kind of miss them.

It snowed here. In the SF Bay area. Where, not counting high elevations, it snows about once a decade.

I was looking at Seattle weather out of curiousity a little while ago, and thought the Severe Thunderstorm Warning was a glitch at first. There's weird weather out there this time of year.

Over here, the pieces were sticking like snow for a while. Mostly gone now though.
