Aeon Flux and bad science

I just returned from watching Aeon Flux. Not that I expected a great deal from a movie based on a late-night MTV cartoon, but my very short review of it as follows:

I am unable to suspend disbelief for a science fiction movie whose conceit depends entirely on the truth of Lamarckism and strong genetic determinism.

Also, the theme "mortality is good" does not resonate with me. Nor does "cloning is bad, because it leads to the following bizarre occurrences none of which actually happen with cloning."

That would explain why everyone kept getting shot, groaning, and then suddenly whoo, nothing's wrong with them at all!
