Thoughts on His Dark Materials

I recently finished reading the trilogy His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. It was certainly an interesting read... I went through it in only a few days.

And now I'm going to lj-cut this post, as a.) it will only be interesting to people who have read the series, and b.) it will be chock full of spoilers to anyone who hasn't read it and might be interested.
